Get inspired, and empowered to build your own natural house! No prior skills required!
In this workshop we will build two ovens; one Cobb Oven for baking (bread, pizza, etc), and one efficient stove-top burner.
Through enjoying these two smaller model projects together, you will learn everything you need to build your own structures in the future from foundation, to building, to finishing!
We will share all the fundamentals of hands-on building your own house with natural materials including earthbag, cobb, wottle and dobb, adobe and more.

What will we do and Learn?
Daily schedule 10AM-4:30PM
(lunch break 12:30-2PM)
Day 1
- Project design and discussion
- Learn how a rocket burner and cobb oven work
- Earth building Theory
- Soil test and prepare brick materials
- Build earth-brick frame & tamping tool
- Make earth bricks
Day 2
- Build oven foundation with cob and stone
- Wattle and Dobb to make a strong horizontal earth-platform
Day 3
- Finish oven dome top with fire technique, or sand method if too steep
- Make french-drain foundation for the burner
- Make earthbag foundation for the burner
Day 4
- Lay (and set) the bricks for the rocket burner
- Learn how to cobb over existing bricks
- Apply natural plastering finish

Who are your teachers?
Klaew ("Disacha")
Klaew has been building with earth for over 5 years. She built her own mushroom round house during the first year of learning natural building skills, and has been building and teaching ever since.
She is an awesome example of a powerful woman doing amazing things, with love, care, and attention.
Now, she shares her knowledge with natural building with others through work-exchange programs, and helping to teach to build in natural building workshop.
Skye ("Scott")
Skye is a focused and dedicated enthusiast of sustainable systems and building for a better world, and harmony with nature.
He loves Tipis, geodesic Domes, and has experience with traditional and ancient building methods.
He is also a movement and fitness specialist and long-time trainer helping people achieve health, and personal accomplishment.
